31 Above is a commercial sculptural landmark with stacked and slightly distanced volumes that cut terraces into the sky and landscaped rest at various levels- architecture that looks vibrant on the eye of the viewer and one that feels to be healing on the eye of the viewer. Stone and metal convey permanence, slender vertical fins provide the facade with a sense of motion, and interior huge lobby of stone and marble floors, ribbed metal accents and a sculptural chandelier directs workdays to gardens, shaded walks, and green areas that will continue to workdays to light, air and nature.
It is a speech at the entrance to Dubai Maritime City: it takes minutes to Mina Rashid (5) and Jumeirah coast (10) and the Gold Souq (15) and the Downtown/Burj Khalifa (15) and the DIFC (20) and the Dubai International Airport (20).
